Guildford, UK (November 2009) - Inovis and House of Fraser win accolade at Retail Systems Awards
Inovis today announced that its Data Synchronisation project with House of Fraser has been named as the winner of the Retail Systems Supply Chain Solution of the Year Award 2009. The ceremony took place at Grosvenor House in London, and named organisations and projects that have demonstrated excellence and innovation in information technology within the UK retail sector.
The Supply Chain Solution of the Year award specifically celebrates retailers who have introduced supply chain solutions that have helped the business manage and maintain stock levels, while also improving visibility across the entire organisation. By winning the award, Inovis and House of Fraser were credited as being forward thinking within technical innovation across the retail sector. It has allowed House of Fraser and its suppliers to take advantage of technology which has not previously been used in the UK Fashion Retail market.
The Inovis DataSync solution synchronises product data and improves communication traffic between House of Fraser and its suppliers. The automated solution collects product information from suppliers and consolidates this data it into one single feed of information as opposed to numerous data formats including XML, AS2, Fax and email, which have traditionally been used.
"Data Synchronisation has been something that UK fashion retailers have been looking for to help increase efficiency and cut out errors with suppliers" said Stephen Jefferies, Director, EMEA Retail, Inovis. "We are delighted that our partnership with House of Fraser has been recognised by Retail Systems, and look forward to introducing other retailers and suppliers to the benefits that DataSync can have to retail businesses."
