Highland Spring Keeps Orders Flowing with Inovis BizConnect

Improved Communication and Data Exchange with Retailers Across the Business Community

Guildford, UK (16th March 2008) - Guildford, UK (16th March 2008) - Highland Spring, the UK's leading brand of bottled water, today announced it has chosen the BizConnect® solution from Inovis to enable improved communication and data exchange with UK retailers, including Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco, regardless of the data format required by each customer.

Delivered through a simple to access, 'always online' web portal, BizConnect provides Highland Spring with a real-time view of its customers' orders, eliminating the need for connection to a manual data retrieval system and increasing the speed and efficiency at which orders can be processed.

"Missing deliveries or inaccurate stock and orders have a serious impact on our reputation and ultimately our revenue. Therefore, having a reliable system in place to effectively manage the receipt and transmission of documents across the business is imperative," said Stuart Bell, Systems Manager, Highland Spring. "Inovis BizConnect is capable of receiving orders in any data format our customers use, such as EDI or XML, and we also have the peace of mind that if the order doesn't reach us, the system will automatically flag that there is a problem and we will be notified so we can rectify the issue."

As Inovis operates a flat-rate pricing structure rather than charging based on the amount of data exchanged, Highland Spring can easily manage its EDI budget, as well as simply add new customers onto the system as the business grows, without worrying about the fluctuating cost of maintaining the system. Additionally, because BizConnect is integrated with the Inovisworks® Value Added Network, built on the Multienterprise Expert Services Hub (MESH) platform, with 99.995 percent availability, Highland Spring can be sure its EDI environment is available 24/7 for round-the-clock customer support and order processing capabilities.

"With challenging market conditions and tough competition, suppliers are coming under increased pressure to meet the needs of retailers both in terms of performance and the way they do business," said John Redfern, Managing Director, Inovis, EMEA. "By replacing legacy EDI systems with integrated Business Community Management solutions that converge supply chain data on a simple yet dependable platform, businesses such as Highland Spring are building better relationships with their customers and working smarter to drive revenue and growth."
