The count down has begun! The 1st January 09 is only 43 days away and this is the date your product data must be uploaded to Inovis in time for the House of Fraser switch over.

Welcome to the UK DataSync Community update

Front of House Of Fraser During October, the Inovis enablement team travelled to London and trained key people in the merchandising department from all the product categories at House of Fraser.

Bill Burns from Inovis says: "We have been working closely with House of Fraser for a while now, talking to buying and merchandising teams in preparation. It was nice to put faces to the names when we completed their training at their House of Fraser H/Q recently."

As a reminder: House of Fraser launched DataSync to all suppliers and other UK retailers in September this year. The programme was introduced by a letter from Colin Porter to all suppliers and followed up by a further letter outlining the required date for product data to be uploaded to the Inovis DataSync service.

Those letters, along with an explanatory Supplier Pack and Order Forms, have now been sent to every supplier to House of Fraser. If you don't have a copy you might find that someone else in your business has received the relevant information. Do not worry, you can request another copy right here.

What a great new store!

Yasmin Le Bon Opening House Of Fraser Inovis Managing Director John Redfern and Director of European Retail Stephen Jefferies were thrilled to be invited to the VIP opening of the new Westfield store.

John and Stephen talked passionately about how great the store was and how good it was to see the products and meet some of the suppliers who are uploading data to Inovis this year.

Pre-Upload Demonstrations

The Inovis sales team have been offering suppliers a free of charge demonstration of the DataSync programme prior to signing up and sending over data before the end of the year. This gives you the chance to see the benefits of DataSync and ask any questions about the service before hand.

So far, we have had a very positive response from House of Fraser suppliers and would like to say a big thank you to the large number who have already signed up and are working with our teams to upload their data.

Enablement Introduction

During the DataSync enablement, the supplier is "hand held" through out the process. They are given a test catalogue that is an exact duplication of the production environment. This can be used for training and allows suppliers to familiarise themselves with the many different features that the catalogue offers before moving into production. There has been a lot of positive feedback during the training sessions, with suppliers describing the catalogue as "easy to use" and "straightforward".
