Inovis Customer Advisory Board to Tackle Supply Chain Challenges

 22 Jul 2008

Guildford, UK (22 July 2008) - Inovis, a leading provider of on-demand business community management solutions, today announced details of its successful Customer Advisory Board (CAB), following a meeting on 22nd May 2008 at Mottram Hall, Cheshire. Inovis executives met with a number of customers from the board, which includes, Bernard Matthews, Cranswick, Danone, House of Fraser, innocent, Morrisons, Moto, Polypipe Reckitt Benckiser and Wolseley, to obtain valuable insight into supply chain processes and collectively discuss challenges facing the global supply chain and ways of overcoming them.

Organisations today are benefiting from solutions that increase visibility into the supply chain to proactively find and fix problems before they happen. With this in mind, John Redfern, Managing Director EMEA, Inovis, provided insight into the Inovis Business Community Management platform, which is delivering significant benefits to companies, such as providing a real-time view into all partner collaboration - across all formats and technologies.

Sean Feeney, CEO, Inovis, said, "Our newly-formed Customer Advisory Board will provide our customers with a platform to give their insight on issues affecting the entire industry. Our solution sets have been developed with the customer in mind, and how our customers can play an even more central role in shaping our ongoing product strategy by informing us about business priorities and day-to-day issues. The board also includes a panel of industry experts, including Steve Coussins, former CEO of GS1 UK and Peter Jordan, a member of the Global Commerce Initiative executive board. Both have a wealth of experience across the EDI sector, and will deliver additional value to the CAB."

"The CAB is an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and know-how with the Inovis board and fellow companies large and small facing similar business challenges," said Stephane Angonnet, Danone. "Moving forward, we look forward to contributing to the advisory board, working together to tackle challenges that global collaboration within the supply chain brings. By preparing for the future and learning from each other, we can diminish the gap between the real world and an ideal world through technology."
